The site will initially contain material relating to the spatial@gov® Conference held in Canberra on 15 and 16 June 2009, as well as planning details for the next spatial@gov® Conference in 2010.

As the site develops other material will be provided to assist government agencies in understanding the benefits of applying the location element that is inherent in most government held information.

It is intended that this site will be a resource for government organisations and will also provide a forum for

discussion on the application of location capabilities in support of government business.

The first discussion item will focus on planning for the spatial@gov® Conference in 2010. We are seeking ideas and thoughts on how to ensure that next year’s event is bigger and better.

We also anticipate developing a calendar of major events organised by the spatial community in order to improve coordination and support for these events from delegates, presenters and sponsors.
